Hi! I really love your game you made! It's so funny how you can throw stuff out the window, even though it's rude XD

I really enjoyed. I'm in high school right now and this game perfectly captures my bittersweet feelings about the future and how my friends are going to move on.

10/10 this game makes me want to plan a road trip and make sure my friends know i love them

Northbound - WORST CALL PRANK EVER

Thanks for the video, always fun to see how people react to our weird made-up radio program. Looking forward to the next video!

I really really enjoyed playing this game, the details in the van were really nice, the fact that you could interact with every single button and even open up the window was really nice touch.

The story itself was really nice and it brought back some nice memories from the past.

Amazing job so far, can't wait what you come up with next!

Thanks for the video and your very kind words, glad you enjoyed all the details, we really enjoyed watching it ^^

Wonderful job with this! I always enjoy these slice of life journey games and you pretty much nailed it. I really appreciated that there were some more dynamic elements, like stopping to talk, getting in the driver's seat, and a sense that I had some control over the way the conversations would go. Very nice touch with the camera. Overall, had fun. Keep up the good work and good luck with any future games!

Thanks for the video, the kind words and the great feedback! Glad you enjoyed it ^^

very confused about what to do

It was so immersive and beatiful. I think the music picked out and how it was placed was perfect for setting the tone. I noticed the radio wasn't going during the heavier part of the rainfall, and I thought that was a perfect touch. Just the sound of the rain and wipers coupled with a thick tension. I could go on and on about how much I love this game.

Thank you so much for playing and commenting, really glad you enjoyed it, it always makes us happy to hear that ^^

I love your game guys. Will you make more games like this or upgrade this one?

Thank you ^^
We look at this one as a finished game, and it won't be upgraded, apart from maybe a few fixes and quality of life improvements. But we're currently working on a spiritual successor of sorts.

(+1)

great games guys really love the story and how it was executed but the only thing was that i felt too slow and that kinda took the touch out of it

Thank you for the nice feedback! The slow pacing is something a few people have commented on, and while it is what we were going for, the implementation probably isn't ideal and something we need to adress for future games.

yeah cause the story is really interesting but  playing at this pace feels so like waiting for story to move forward and also i as i make gameplays this pace just makes it even harder to well make a gameplay too

The functioning Gameboy and Camera were really nice touches. And I appreciate that you realized I would be throwing objects at my friends.

Thanks for the video, really enjoyed watching it, and I laughed out loud at the All star bit :)

I'm having problems with lag. Please add the option to change visual settings so that my potato computer can handle this game. The game looks great though. Just wish I could play it...

Hey there, thanks for the compliment, I also hope that you can play it ^^
There is an option to turn the graphics down, but it's not in-game, only in the window that appears when you start the game, where you also select screen resolution etc. Depending on your settings, you might have to hold down alt/option for this window to appear.
Hope that helps!

Thank you very much for the advice. I will be sure to let you know if I have any more problems.

After trying what you said, it didn't help much unfortunately. I recommend at least putting in the option to turn off particles or shaders. Thank you for helping. Mad respect mate.

Too bad :(
We'll look into optimizing it a bit more, and I'll notify you once we find a solution. The volumetric lighting is probably a culprit as well.
But thanks for trying, have a good one!

STEAM PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ IT SON'T STOP CRASHING

(1 edit)

Hey there, sorry to hear that :/
Are you playing the PC or the Mac version? And what are your system specs?
Also, have you tried turning the graphic settings down?

well im on a pc and my specs are intel(R) core(TM) i7-7500

That should be able to run it, as long as you have a decent dedicated graphics card to go along with it.

I do but it crashes when I am about to get the bag

just magnificent. can someone suggests me other games similar to this?

Thank you ^^
Some of the games that inspired us were Glitchhikers, Firewatch and all games by turnfollow, to name a few.

Thanks for sharing, it was a fun experience to play through. The only real improvement I would suggest is to speed up the text crawl significantly - clicking through to get it to display faster was a little bit of a pain.

I really liked the soundtrack/music - you did a fantastic job selecting those.

Thank you, and thanks for the feedback, that's a great idea!
Maybe text speed could be an option, though we don't have an options menu in this version ^^'

Hi you have a good  AMAZING game

(+1)

Wow! I was looking for a good game on itch and stumbled across this I really recommend this, Great game! I hope to hopefully (that makes no sense lol) see more from you!

Thank you! ^^
Unfortunately, it will be a while until we have something playable with our new version / spiritual successor of Northbound. But we'll keep posting updates on Twitter, so you can follow us on there ^^

thats fine also....It takes a while in the bus so cn you maybe speed it up by 10-20 minutes and have inbetween things like 10 mins later or 20 mins later thank you! ^^

fantastic!! I really enjoyed this

Thanks, glad you liked it ^^

This was a really sweet experience. Great narrative design, i like how the weather outside mirrors the mood inside. And the ending twist was really neat. Great work! :)

Thank you for playing and for your feedback, glad you liked it ^^

i like the fact that your the kind of person who checks the comments and tries to improve, instead of just creating the game and ignoring the comments. ultra respect

What an interesting game! Loved the experience, was wondering if there was a playlist for the soundtrack? Love it!

(+2)

Thank you ^^
There isn't a playlist yet, but that's a great idea! For now, you can find the names to all the songs in the credits ^^

(+2)

I think the soundtrack was one of the best parts about the game especially when it was silent in the car. Made the game complete in my opinion. Hopefully more kind of games like this soon!

(+1)

Honestly, at sometimes it may be a bit slow, but the sound effects, music, dialogue and graphics all mix together very well, and the ending is very creative and fresh. Almost made me shed a tear. I love it. Thank you for making this game! :)
